Oil thieves capture and bury 3 police informants alive
The Anti Cultism Unit of Rivers State Police Command on Thursday July 16, 2020 exhumed three decomposing bodies from Bera community forest in Gokana local government area of the state.
The police also arrested two notorious cultists who led them to a shallow waterlogged pit where the victims, Baridomale Sunday Tor, Barisiton Nawee and Baridon Gbarabera, were buried alive with their mouth and hand tired to their back.
According to the command’s spokesperson, Nnamdi Omoni, the three victims went missing on the March 14, 2020.
The suspects, one Mr Prophet and Barididum Dabama aka kill and bury, allegedly confessed to the crime, stating they killed the victims for informing security agents of an illegal oil bunkery being carried out by the suspects.
