The WEP aims to provide paying internship opportunities to at least 2,550 Nigerian youths in a variety of industries, including: Civil Service Personnel (Government Agencies)
Industrial production (FMCGs, Agriculture, Energy)
Information and Communication Technology (Software & Hardware, Telecommunications)
Work on the building (Architecture, Engineering, Surveying)
monetary (Commercial Banks, Credit Institutions)
Equality in the workplace (NGOs, Law Firms)

Work Experience Program Details The Work Experience Program is part of the Federal Ministry of Youths and Sports Development’s initiative to introduce a series of economy-sustainability projects in Nigeria.
A clinical research and review of various surveys on the employability skills of Nigerian youth was recently conducted, along with a series of one-on-one interactions. In order to come to a conclusion, it was discovered that one of the challenges of unemployment is a severe lack of realistic job knowledge and experience.
To close this gap, the Ministry developed the Work Experience Program (WEP) to ensure that young people gain experience and hone their employability skills, preparing them for jobs and acquiring the necessary skills for self-development and thriving in the twenty-first century workplace.
Mentoring, networking, how to get scholarships, knowledge of international competitions, jobs, training, and business startups are among these skills.
The Work Experience Program (WEP) seeks to ensure that young people gain experience and hone their employability skills, preparing them for jobs and acquiring the necessary skills for self-development and flourishing in the workplace of the twenty-first century.
Preparation Based on their profile, discipline, and place, the youth will participate in a three-month paid internship.
The programme will take place in a variety of locations in all six geopolitical zones, as well as the Federal Capital Territory.
The Work Experience Program (WEP) initiative is a three-month internship programme that will enable participants to acquire knowledge, learn skills, and workplace competencies that will improve their chances of landing a job.
The Selection Criteria for the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development Internship Programme 2021
This software is only open to people who are literate. In addition, the following specific pre-conditions for selection have been established:
 A Nigerian citizen, male or female, between the ages of 18 and 35, must apply.
A University Degree, Ordinary National Diploma (OND), or National Certificate in Education is required (NCE)
At least one valid form of identification (National Identity Card, International Passport, Permanent Voters Card – PVC, Drivers’ License) is required of the applicant.
If chosen and the physical exercise venue is not in their home state, they are willing to fly.
Ability to communicate effectively in English. Beneficiaries should be able to impart information and tutor peers in their immediate surroundings.
