BREAKING: Many Feared Trapped As Three-Storey Building Collapses In Kano Market

Emergency responders have arrived at the site to rescue the trapped victims, it was also learnt.  

Many people have reportedly been trapped after a three-storey building under construction collapsed at GSM market on Beirut Road in Kano, Northwest Nigeria.

“People are believed to be trapped in the rubble,” a source told SaharaReporters.

A 20-year-old construction worker, Abdulkadir Nasiru, in June lost his life while his co-worker, Naziru Shafiu, sustained injuries when a three-storey building collapsed in Kanti Kwari textile market in Kano State.

Last Friday, a building also collapsed in Kubwa Satellite town in Abuja, where two persons reportedly lost their lives.
