The Accord Party candidate for Atisbo/Saki East/Saki West Federal constituency in Oyo State, Jacob Funmi Ogunmola, is dead
According to OYOINSIGHT, Ogunmola died on Sunday, a few hours after attending a function in Saki.
The late politician was the caretaker chairman of Atisbo Local Government under the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi.
A source close to the late Ogunmola said he was being moved to Lagos, his base, from Saki, when he died.
Another source said he had just finished a programme in Saki when he complained that he was feeling unwell.
In a post on his campaign Facebook, the Ago Are-born politician could be seen telling his host that it was not in his habit to come late to events but that he had a crisis.
A few months ago, Ogunmola’s successor in office as council chairman, Wasiu Owolabi, died in a car crash.
