A pregnant woman has reportedly died while waiting in the queue to cast her vote in Zamfara State, Northwest Nigeria.
The deceased who was identified as Shamsiya Ibrahim was said to have travelled about 50km to Tsafe area of the state, where was meant to cast her vote before the unfortunate incident, Channels TV reports.

According to the report, the pregnant woman was immediately rushed to Tsafe General Hospital after she slumped while in the queue, but not could make it as doctors on duty confirmed that she was dead on arrival.
The late Shamsiya travelled from Kotorkoshi area of Bungudu Local Government to Tsafe town to cast her vote.
The authorities are yet to make a formal statement regarding the tragic development.
