16-Man Gang Of Armed Robbery, Kidnapping Busted In Adamawa, Say Nigeria Police

The Adamawa State Police Command has said it busted a 16-man gang of criminals terrorising the state and adjoining ones.

It was learnt that the gang specialises in kidnapping and armed robbery in Adamawa and neighbouring states.

The operation led to the arrest of the gang and recovery of six AK-47 rifles among other firearms, according to the police.

The spokesperson for the command, SP Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed the arrest, saying, “Police operatives apprehended them in a joint operation with local hunters.”

He added, “The suspects were nabbed in Mubi North, Gombi, and Fufore, among other local government areas.”

Nguroje assured that on completion of the investigation, the command will charge them to court for prosecution.

He extended the appreciation of the police commissioner, Afolabi Babatola to the officers of the command as well as local hunters. 

He appealed for support to enable the command to continue to protect lives and property.
