The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Party (ADC) in Kogi, Leke Abejide has promised the state’s traditional rulers luxurious lives in the best hotels in the state if elected as the next governor of the state.
In a viral video on social media seen by Gistcore media Mr Abejide is heard promising to always keep the monarchs in the best hotels in the state anytime they are invited by the government.
While addressing traditional rulers in the state, the governorship candidate said, “I will respect my traditional rulers; I will give you the due respect that is needed. I will make sure anytime I invite you, I will put you in the best hotels for you to enjoy yourself. I will not look down on you and put you inside the sun.”
The forthcoming governorship election in the state will take place on November 11, 2023, to elect the new Governor of Kogi State.
The incumbent governor, Yahaya Bello cannot seek re-election as he is rounding off his final term in office.
