Some Nigerians who are supporters of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), have taunted a Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi’s supporter (Obidient), Marcus-Obiene Fernández, who was recently appointed by President Bola Tinubu as the Special Assistant on Justice Sector Reforms And ICT/Digital and Innovative Technology.
Obiene’s appointment has generated reactions from the APC supporters who have questioned why he accepted the appointment after calling the President a drug dealer.
Meanwhile, Obiene has since his appointment protected his X (formerly Twitter) page.
Reacting to the appointment of the Obidient, @toluogunlesi said, “Leading Obidient @thefernist appointed Special Assistant to the President on Justice Sector Reforms and ICT/Digital and Innovative Technology, and the first Reform he embarks upon is a reform of his Twitter handle: locking account and feverishly deleting tweets.”
Also, @AyoOyalowo said, “My guy @thefernist good afternoon. Why you dey protect your tweets and what is the reason for deleting your old tweets? Fear dey catch you ni? “My guy, @thefernist you should not have blocked me. That was a big mistake on your part. I wish you luck with your Obingo movement … but I will make you wish you didn’t.” Another APC supporter, @balogin said, “It’s not only APC people that are hungry after all. They all used obidense people’s head. Even Obi will take appointment now. Nice one.”
