Bulldozers in early hours of Wednesday pulled down the Rivers State House of Assembly complex in Port Harcourt , South-South Nigeria.
Over 10 trucks were on ground evacuating rubbles from the demolished complex of House of Assembly with no official statement yet from the Rivers State Government.
The demolition however comes shortly after Rivers State High Court in granting an order said Governor Sim Fubara has provided alternative sitting venue for lawmakers following recent fire incident.
Meanwhile, Governor Sim Fubara while the demolition was ongoing was presenting the 2024 Budget proposal to the Ehie Edison-led Rivers State House of Assembly at an alternative sitting venue provided for lawmakers at the Government House Port Harcourt
