The singer, who was in a convoy with his allies in the bustling area of Lekki, Lagos on Sunday evening was enraged when the driver insisted that he must give him money before he would be allowed to go.
Oniyide Azeez, a prominent Nigerian Afrobeat singer and Marlian Records signee popularly known as Zinoleesky, was captured in a viral video attacking a bus driver who stopped his car to beg for money in Lagos State.
The singer, who was in a convoy with his allies in the bustling area of Lekki, Lagos on Sunday evening was enraged when the driver insisted that he must give him money before he would be allowed to go.
Sharing the video on his X page, a user, Darny Art claimed he was among the passengers abandoned in the middle of the road by the driver
“I took Korope (bus) on my way to Lekki this evening. We saw Zinoleesky’s convoy on the road. Werey driver parked the bus in the middle of the road to go beg for money.
“Zino came down, gave driver blow for mouth,” the X user wrote.
The X user added that the driver chased after the singer despite the assault he suffered at his hands.
He continued: “E no end there o Driver no gree o, e enter bus start to dey pursue Zino car for back. He say, as Zino don give am blow, Zino must give am money.
“Person wey dey back seat dey shout ‘Agungi Owa oo’ Driver no stop oo, driver dey follow Zino for back.”
Recall that Nigerians recently lambasted Naira Marley, the former label boss of Mohbad, and Zinoleesky for expressing their condolences following the untimely death of the singer.
The music industry was rocked by the devastating news of 27-year-old Mohbad’s passing in September 2023.
Naira Marley, who previously had disputes with Mohbad, and Zinoleesky both took to their Instagram stories to mourn the loss with heartbroken emojis.
In response to their expressions of grief, many social media users accused them of being responsible for Mohbad’s death.
