The suspect allegedly removed 10 LED road stud lights screwed onto the road to enhance road user visibility.

The Lagos Rapid Response Squad (RRS) has apprehended an 18-year-old suspect, Mubarak Abdullahi, for allegedly vandalising LED road stud lights on the newly renovated Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos State.

The suspect allegedly removed 10 LED road stud lights screwed onto the road to enhance road user visibility.

In a statement on Friday by RRS, the suspect was caught red-handed around 10 am earlier in the day by the operatives patrolling the bridge.

Meanwhile, the RRS Commander, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi weeks ago deployed bike riders on a 24-hour security patrol to the area to monitor traffic and protect infrastructure on the bridge.
