Abdulbagy U. Ebbo, Special Adviser on Digital Media and Strategy to Niger State Governor Muhammadu Umaru Bago, was attacked by suspected armed robbers on Tuesday in Minna, the state capital.

Gistcore had learnt that the incident occurred around Kure Market, in the Chanchaga Local Government Area of the state.

It was learnt that during the incident, the attackers stole an unspecified sum of money contained in a sack.

The robbers exchanged brief gunfire to scare away members of the public, but no injuries were sustained, and the robbers fled the scene unchallenged.

Efforts made by media to reach Ebbo for comments on the incident were unsuccessful as his mobile phone was off.

When media contacted the Niger State Police Public Relations Officer, Wasiu Abiodun, he said needed time to find out the details about the incident.
