A recent survey by Statisense has revealed that Libya is leading Africa in digital advancement, securing the top spot on the ICT Index with an impressive score of 88.1.
Morocco and Seychelles also made notable appearances in the top ten, indicating significant progress in digital infrastructure.
South Africa, recognised as Africa’s economic powerhouse, ranks 5th with a score of 83.6.
The top 10 list is further completed by Tunisia, Egypt, and Gabon, each contributing to a diverse range of digital capabilities, from sophisticated technological solutions to forward-thinking IT policies.
In contrast, despite its large population and potential, Nigeria is ranked 24th, followed by Ghana, which ranks 15th with a score of 66.2 and an ICT index of 46.9.
Kenya, with a score of 58.5, is ranked 18th among the major economic players in Sub-Saharan Africa.
