Bristol Isaac Tamunobifiri, widely known by his X handle, PIDOM Nigeria, has been granted bail.

PIDOM was arraigned on Friday, September 27, facing a nine-count charge filed by the Inspector-General of Police at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

Earlier, Justice Emeka Nwite, who is overseeing the case, had denied PIDOM bail. ‘

According to police spokesperson Olumuyiwa Adejobi, PIDOM had “illegally” accessed restricted data and shared directives from the IGP’s office.

Adejobi further stated that PIDOM was arrested for charges including “criminal conspiracy, violations of the Official Secrets Act, leaking classified documents, actions likely to disturb public peace, sedition, fraud, and tax evasion.”
