The Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, has approved the nomination of Oladele Bankole-Balogun for appointment as Executive Chairman, Edo State Board of Internal Revenue.
Bankole-Balogun, born in 1961 into the illustrious family of the Late Chief Bankole Balogun of Igarra Akoko-Edo, Edo state obtained his education in University of Ibadan (BSc Hons Political Science 1984); University of London (LLB Hons Law); College of Law, Store Street, London (Postgraduate Diploma Law).
He is a member, Law Society of England and Wales, Nigeria Bar Association; International Bar Association and Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK).
Bankole-Balogun has worked in different spheres of human endeavours including Principal Partner, Oladele Bankole-Balogun & Co and Federal Commissioner, Public Complaints Commission (2012-2015) representing Edo State.
In politics, he was at various times, an aspirant and candidate for the House of Representatives Elections in Akoko Edo Federal Constituency and was recently a Member of APC Campaign Council for 2024 Governorship elections in Edo State.
Other members nominated by Governor Okpebholo for appointment as Executive Directors into the Edo State Board of Internal Revenue are: Deacon Idiake Patrick Akhimien (representing Edo Central), Hon. Mike Ohio Ezomo (representing Edo North) and Hon. Engr. Jackson Eribo (representing Edo South).
