Yuda Garba, the kidnapped Village Head of Dagachi in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State, has been found dead, with his decomposing body discovered in a bush weeks after his abduction.
Garba was abducted on March 11, and his whereabouts remained unknown until villagers discovered a corpse in the Nomadic Forest near Kuyeri, close to the border between Kaduna and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
A source, Zagazola Makama, disclosed the development on his X handle on Monday, stating that local residents alerted authorities after stumbling upon the remains.
According to the source, security personnel were swiftly deployed to the scene alongside community members, where relatives identified the remains as those of the abducted village head.
It was learnt that the security forces had intensified efforts to locate and rescue other victims who were kidnapped during the same attack.
