Kidnappers Demand N100Million Ransom For Abducted Kaduna ECWA Pastor

The pastor was kidnapped from his residence in Maraba Aboro, Sanga Local Government Area, Kaduna State, during a raid by gunmen in the early hours of Monday.

The abductors of Pastor Samson Ndah Ali, a 30-year-old cleric with the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), have demanded a ransom of N100 million for his release.

The pastor was kidnapped from his residence in Maraba Aboro, Sanga Local Government Area, Kaduna State, during a raid by gunmen in the early hours of Monday.

According to DailyPost, Mallam Yusuf Ambi, the financial secretary of the church, confirmed the abduction and explained that he had been with Pastor Ali the night before.

“I rushed to his compound where he stays alone, only to find the doors wide open. I checked all the rooms, but he was nowhere to be found,” Ambi said.

He further revealed that the kidnappers contacted the church and demanded a ransom of N100 million for the pastor’s release, noting that negotiations are currently ongoing.

Pastor Ali, who is originally from the Danji community of Ungwan Mailafiya, had only been posted to the church less than two weeks before the abduction. In response to the incident, a joint security team of the Nigerian Army, police, and the Department of State Services (DSS) has launched an operation to locate and rescue the pastor.

The abduction, which occurred on April 8, 2025. The suspects are believed to have stormed Pastor Ali’s home around 12:45 a.m., taking him to an undisclosed location. Despite intelligence confirming the attack, no official response from the authorities has been made so far.
