How To Check 2025 UTME Results: A Step-By-Step Guide

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, on Monday released the results of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

A breakdown of the results shows that over 1.5 million candidates out of the total 1,955,069 who sat the exam scored below 200.

This means about 75 per cent of the candidates failed to meet the minimum benchmark, according to data released by the board on Monday.

JAMB also revealed that less than one per cent of the candidates scored above 300 in the just-concluded exam.

The board said 40,247 underage candidates were allowed to sit the exam to showcase their abilities. However, only 467 of them, representing 1.16 per cent, met the criteria for what JAMB described as “exceptional performance”. The board added that these candidates would go through three more stages of assessment.

In total, only 420,415 candidates scored above 200 in the 2025 UTME, painting a tough picture for university admissions this year.
