Elon Musk, American billionaire, has lashed out again at President Donald Trump over the budget bill presented by the administration and passed by Congress.
This time, he stated that without him, Trump would have lost the United States election, and went on to say the President lacks gratitude.
“Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate,” he posted on X.
“Such ingratitude,” he added.
He was commenting after Trump stated that he was disappointed in him for condemning his budget bill.
The BBC quoted Trump as speaking to reporters during a news conference with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz on Thursday.
He was quoted as saying: “We are doing things in that bill that are unbelievable.
“I’m very disappointed because Elon knew the inner workings of this bill better than almost anybody sitting here,” he said. “All of a sudden he had a problem.”
“He hasn’t said bad (things) about me personally, but I’m sure that’ll be next.”
Musk then went on to deny ever knowing the contents of the bill that was passed.
“False, this bill was never shown to me even once and was passed in the dead of night so fast that almost no one in Congress could even read it!,” Musk said in respect to Trump’s claim that he knew the workings of the bill.
SaharaReporters earlier reported that the billionaire Elon Musk renewed his criticisms of United States President Donald Trump’s signature budget bill, calling it a “disgusting abomination” in a series of social media posts.
On Tuesday, just days after leaving his post in the Trump administration, Musk launched yet another broadside against the legislation, known as the One Big Beautiful Bill.
The bill would extend tax cuts established in 2017, during Trump’s first term, and funnel more funds to his administration’s priorities, including $46.5 billion for the construction of barriers at the US border with Mexico.
“I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore.”
“This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination.”
“Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it,” he shared on his official X handle.
“It will massively increase the already gigantic budget deficit to $2.5 trillion (!!!) and burden America[n] citizens with crushingly unsustainable debt,” Musk said in one post. In another, he wrote, “Congress is making America bankrupt.”
Musk, who just resigned from the Trump administration, remains an ally of the United States government. However, he has not hidden his interest in cutting the costs of governance—though his moves have been termed controversial, leading to protests across the country.
