Victor Osimhen has officially turned down a lucrative €30 million per year offer from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal.
This is despite the club agreeing to meet his €75 million release clause, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Nigerian forward, currently on Napoli’s books, had been on the brink of completing a move to the Gulf side ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup, which begins June 14.
Al-Hilal, now managed by Simone Inzaghi, had tabled a proposal that would have made Osimhen one of the highest-paid players in world football.
However, the 26-year-old has rejected the move outright, with sources indicating that his decision is final.
Osimhen has reportedly reiterated his intention to remain in European football.
His standout loan spell at Galatasaray, scoring 37 goals in 41 matches during the 2024/25 season, has sparked speculation over a possible permanent return to the Turkish club.
It remains unclear whether Galatasaray or any other European side will meet Napoli’s €75 million valuation to secure his services on a permanent basis.
Napoli are expected to offload the striker this summer, with his contract expiring in 2026 and relations between player and club having cooled in recent years.
