A resurfaced video of Nigerian prophetess Bright The Seer has sparked online debate, as it appears she may have predicted the death of a former national leader—just days before news broke of Muhammadu Buhari’s passing.
As earlier reported by Gistlover, former Nigerian president Muhammadu Buhari allegedly died in London at the age of 82. His family reportedly confirmed the news, and President Bola Tinubu has since ordered national flags to be flown at half-mast in his honour.
In a video posted on June 1, 2024, Prophetess Bright The Seer revealed a divine message about the impending death of a former head of state, saying it would occur between June and July 2025. However, she did not name the individual at the time.
“The spirit of God revealed to me the death of an ex-leader of this country between this June to June July next year,” she declared.

Following Buhari’s reported demise, the video quickly went viral, with mixed reactions flooding social media.
A user, Bright Daniel, questioned the nature of the prophecy, writing:
“Does your prophecy specialize in only negative visions? Abeg, can you see when Nigeria will be great?”
Another commenter, Gilbert Saleh, expressed frustration, stating:
“Omo, them see us finish for this country I swear down. Now they want to let us know that Baba is dead?”
User Abigail Havy added a satirical comment:
“Wahala. Even Buhari didn’t survive Tinubu’s regime”
And Ade Oto echoed a long-standing conspiracy theory, writing:
“This one na AI Buhari, the real Buhari died long ago.”
While the timing of the prophecy and Buhari’s reported death has stirred curiosity, many remain skeptical about the accuracy and intention behind such spiritual revelations.
