Troops of Operation Hadin Kai for the Nigerian Army have arrested seven suspected logistics suppliers for terrorists during intensified operations across Borno and Adamawa states.
The Nigerian Army announced the operations through a statement posted on the official X platform of the Nigerian Army on Friday, stating that it took place between 15 and 22 July 2025.
The operations were carried out in collaboration with the Air Component, Civilian Joint Task Force, and local hunters.
They focused on disrupting key supply routes and logistics chains used by insurgent groups in the northeast.
According to the statement, “Several terrorist supply routes were disrupted in Adamawa and Borno States, leading to the arrest of seven suspected logistics suppliers and the seizure of motorcycles, food items, fuel, and communication devices.”
The Army added that troops also conducted successful raids and ambushes in Gwoza, Kaga, Bama, Monguno, and Konduga Local Government Areas, neutralising terrorists and foiling planned attacks.
Among the notable arrests was “a suspect with unauthorised Starlink equipment and another with large quantities of hard drugs.”
The military said it also recovered arms, improvised explosive device materials, and communication gear used by insurgents.
Highlighting the ongoing surrender of terrorist affiliates, the Army revealed that “ten family members of terrorists surrendered in Bama LGA,” while troops on 22 July intercepted “high-tech equipment and supplies en route to Gamboru.”
Commending the efforts, the Chief of Army Staff praised the troops’ bravery, reaffirming the force’s resolve to dismantle the remaining terror networks.
“The Nigerian Army remains committed to defeating terrorism and restoring peace across the region,” the statement read.
The operations form part of a broader strategy to cut off logistics channels supporting insurgent operations in the northeast, which military authorities have repeatedly identified as a critical enabler of terrorism.
