A 41-year-old Nigerian national, Elvis Nosakhare, has been sentenced to six years’ imprisonment for engaging in sexual activity with an underage girl in the United Kingdom.

Nosakhare, of Sheelin Grove, Bletchley, was jailed at Aylesbury Crown Court on Tuesday, July 29, following an investigation by Thames Valley Police.
He was convicted earlier this year after a trial, having been found guilty of two counts of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl and three counts of engaging in non-penetrative sexual activity with a girl.
In addition to the prison sentence, the court ordered that Nosakhare remain on the Sex Offenders Register for life and issued a restraining order against him.
The offences took place in the Thames Valley area after Nosakhare met the victim’s mother via an online dating site and then went on to abuse her daughter.
Detective Constable Bryn Smith, of the Child Abuse Unit, said: “I want to commend the victim for her bravery throughout both the investigation and court proceedings. I hope that Elvis Nosakhare’s conviction and sentence gives her some sense of justice.
