It was gathered that Libyan authorities have transferred the case to the public prosecution for further investigation and possible prosecution.
“Counter-Terrorism Forces arrested in Misrata 2 undocumented Nigerian #migrants on charges of drug trafficking. The individuals were found in possession of hashish, hallucinogenic pills and cash from proceeds. The case was referred to public prosecution,” MRW said.
Libya has, in recent years, intensified crackdowns on drug-related crimes, with security forces targeting trafficking networks operating within and beyond the country’s borders.
