The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has unveiled a 110-member main organising committee ahead of its 2025 elective national convention.
The party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) had earlier fixed the convention for Saturday and Sunday, November 15 and 16, 2025, in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
SaharaReporters previously reported that the NEC settled for Ibadan after considering several options, with the South-West eventually chosen to host the exercise as part of efforts to strengthen the party’s base in the region.

“Sequel to the Resolution of the National Executive Committee (NEC) to hold the 2025 Elective National Convention of our great Party on Saturday, 15th to Sunday, 16th November, 2025 in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital, the following Party members have been appointed as Members of the 2025 National Convention Organizing Committee (Main Committee),” the party stated.
Some of the members of the National Convention Organising Committee (Main Committee) are Hon Ahmadu Umaru, Chairman; Senator Ademola Jackson Adelere, Deputy Chairman; Kabir Tanimi Turari, SAN, Deputy Chairman 2; Barrister Peter Mbah, Secretary; and Senator Adolphus Wadana, Board of Trustees (BOT) Chairman.
SaharaReporters had also reported that PDP leaders view the convention as a crucial event ahead of the 2027 general elections, with internal contests for party leadership positions already intensifying.
