“Police during road security checks in Bin Jawad area (Sirte) apprehended 5 undocumented migrants of Nigerian nationality,” the statement said.

“The individuals were referred to competent authorities for legal action.”

Migrants from sub-Saharan Africa, including Nigeria, often face harsh conditions in Libya, with many detained in overcrowded facilities while awaiting deportation or further legal proceedings.
