A 31-year-old Nigerian man, identified as Chinomso Uma Ochie, has been arrested in the United States by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers in San Antonio, Texas, for sex offender violations.
In a statement released, ICE said Ochie’s arrest demonstrates the agency’s commitment to holding foreign nationals accountable when they violate U.S. laws, particularly in cases involving crimes against children.
Authorities emphasised that immigration privileges can be revoked when individuals engage in criminal activity.

ICE further noted that individuals in similar situations often face removal proceedings, deportation, and permanent bans from re-entry into the US.
“Being allowed to remain in the U.S. is a privilege. Anyone who violates the conditions of their admission by committing crimes against children can be arrested and lose their benefits, like sex offender Chinomso Uma Ochie, 31, a citizen of Nigeria, arrested by ICE San Antonio.”
