Breaking: Rivers assembly to resume sitting Thursday

The Rivers State House of Assembly is set to resume legislative sitting from 10am, Thursday.

Information available has it that the assembly, led my its Speakers, Hon. Martin Amaewhule, will resume sitting at the Assembly Residential Complex on Aba-Port Harcourt expressway.

It was gathered that the 27 lawmakers had arrived the state some days before the expiration of the State of Emergency Rule declared in the state by President Bola Tinubu, suspended Democratic governance in the state.

At press time, it was gathered that the house members who are already residing in the residential complex were set to resume their first sitting.
