“Ladies and gentlemen, you all know what happened during the last election. We were about to win the election, but unfortunately, we could not win the election. But since after that, our party has remained intact.
“Our party has remained solid. And because of the good policies of Mr President, and also because of our political dexterity in the state, we are able to attract many important politicians from other political parties that have come into our own party.
“In particular, we have Senator Kawu has joined our party. We have members of the House of Representatives. We have the former speaker of Kano State, Honourable Kabiru Ruru, who has joined our party. We have Honourable Abdullahi Saini Rogo, who has joined our party. We have many members of the State Assembly who have joined our party.

Ganduje called on Nigerians, especially those living in Kano State, to take part in the ongoing voter registration exercise, assuring that the party will put in every effort to reclaim the state.
He continued, “We have the whole secretary to the Kano State government who left his party and joined our party. In fact, if I continue to mention those who have joined our party, you will know that APC has grown from strength to strength. Distinguished Honourable Member Abdulmumin Kofa is also joining our party.
“We are here and we have resolved that we will continue to work very hard to ensure that we succeed in the next gubernatorial election in Kano State.
“We are also here to strategise. We are here to see how we can encourage our people to go and register for the ongoing voter registration exercise. So far, we are doing very well. And we want to assure the people of Kano State that our members will register so that during the election, we come out in large numbers so that we can win the election.”
Deputy Senate President Barau also spoke, describing the meeting as a strategic step in preparation for the 2027 elections.
He said: “We have urged and we have also propelled our people and propelled ourselves that we are going to do more to tell the people of our state and indeed the entire northern states what the President is doing and what he has done for our nation.
“We are solely behind him, as said the former National Chairman. We are behind him, we are solidly behind him because he loves us. We have never asked for anything from him that he has not done for us. He has established several things for us, several institutions of higher learning, several development projects and so on and so forth.
“We are behind him and we have urged our people, our party, faithful, that everybody, all the strategic stakeholders that are here, that they should go back home and continue to support, to tell their people to continue to support Mr. President, to continue to support APC and to continue to pray for our nation, to continue to pray for our President so that he will achieve his aim of bringing prosperity to our nation.”
According to Hon. Abubakar Bichi, the President has performed exceptionally well in Kano, particularly with key infrastructure projects like road construction.
He said, “So for someone to say Mr President is not interested in the North or in Kano State is all politics. And Kano State in 2027 will come all out and vote the President and APC Governor Isha Allah as well as our three central districts and members of the House of Representatives of the States.”
