In Edo State, Praise Nwogu, popularly known as CandyTeddy on TikTok, along with Ebong Emem Oghosa, 25, were arrested on Saturday, November 22, in Benin City for producing and selling brownies laced with illicit drugs.
This was revealed in a signed statement by the agency’s Director, Media & Advocacy, Femi Babafemi on Sunday, November 23, 2025.
At the time of her arrest, CandyTeddy was found with 12 plates and a cup of drug-laced brownies, while Ebong Emem Oghosa was caught with 76 grams of skank, 1.5 grams of C@lorado, and dr¥g-laced brownies.
The arrests highlight growing concerns over the use of social media platforms by young individuals to promote and distribute illegal substances. Authorities are intensifying efforts to crack down on dr¥g tr+fficking and ab¥se in Edo State.
Investigations into this case is ongoing as law enforcement seeks to dismantle dr¥g networks operating within the state.
