Fusengbuwa Ruling House Rejects K1 De Ultimate’s Claim to Royal Lineage, Declares Submitted Form “Null and Void”

The Fusengbuwa Ruling House of Ijebu-Ode has formally rejected a lineage and membership claim submitted by popular Fuji musician, Olasunkanmi Ayinde Marshal, better known as K1 De Ultimate (Wasiu Ayinde).

In an official letter dated 11 December 2025 and signed by no fewer than six principal members of the ruling house, including the Chairman, Deputy Chairman, Vice-Chairman, General Secretary, and Heads of the Jadiara Royal House, the traditional institution declared the linkage form submitted by the music icon “null, void and of no consequence.

”The letter, addressed directly to “Otunba Wasiu Ayinde Adewale Olasunkanmi Adesanya” at his Omo-Ojusagbola Avenue residence in Ijebu-Ode, stated three major grounds for the rejection:

1. The form was not signed by the authorised Family Head of the claimant’s purported family unit.
2. The person who signed on behalf of the musician, Omoba Adetayo Abayomi Oduteye Eruobodo, is not a registered member of the Jadiara Royal House and therefore lacks the locus standi to sign any linkage form on behalf of any family.
3. There is no extensive investigation or revealed proof establishing K1’s membership of the Jadiara Royal House or indeed of Fusengbuwa Ruling House.

“Consequently, the completed linkage lineage form is hereby declared null, void and of no consequence. For the avoidance of doubt, your claim to the membership of Fusengbuwa Ruling House is rejected and the completed form is of no consequence,” the letter read in part.The document was signed by:

• Pastor Prince Bola Salami – General Secretary
• Otunba Akinola Odedina – Head of Jadiara Royal House
• Afti Adebisi Quadri – Co-Head Jadiara Royal House

The rejection brings to an end months of speculation about the Fuji maestro’s bid to be formally recognised as a prince of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House, one of the four ruling houses in Ijebu-Ode.As of the time of filing this report, representatives of K1 De Ultimate are yet to issue an official response to the ruling house’s decision.
