A man identified as Magaji Adebanjo, an employee of Vine Crest College, has pleaded for help from Nigerians after he was abducted by gunmen along the Kabba road in Kogi State.
It was gathered that Adebanjo, who hails from Imo Arikoko in Akoko area of Ondo State, was kidnapped on his way from Iperu to Abuja.
His captors are demanding a ransom of N100 million for his release.
In a video obtained, Adebanjo is seen tied up, exhausted, and visibly terrified, with a gun pointed at his head as he begs for help.
Another man, who appears to have been abducted alongside him, is seen beside him with an injured knee, looking distressed and unable to stand properly.
Speaking through tears, Adebanjo identified himself and recounted the moment he was abducted.
“My name is Mogaiji Adebanjo. I’m from Imo Arikoko in Ondo State. I work with Vine Crest College. When I was coming from Iperu, going to Abuja, I was kidnapped along the Kabba road,” he said.
“They are demanding N100 million.”
He further begged for assistance, explaining that he has a pregnant wife, a four-year-old son, and an aged father who depend on him.
“Please, help me. I don’t want to die. I have a pregnant wife and a four-year-old son. Please, help me. They want N100 million. I was taken yesterday. Please, help me,” he said.
The incident is one among the growing concerns over rising cases of kidnapping across major highways in Kogi and neighbouring states, where commuters continue to face threats from armed bandits.
