Abdulaziz Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, son of the immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, on Thursday visited the leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, at his Miller Road residence in Kano.
The visit came amid a large turnout of supporters, mostly from Dawakin Kudu Local Government Area of Kano State, who converged on the residence to reaffirm their loyalty to the Kwankwasiyya Movement.
The visit attracted hundreds of supporters, creating a show of strength around the residence of the former Kano State governor and presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
Earlier in the day, Kwankwaso had also visited the Singer Market in Kano, where he sympathised with traders affected by a recent fire outbreak.
The visit drew a cheering crowd of supporters and traders, many of whom applauded his presence and gesture of solidarity.
However, shortly after the series of visits, Kwankwaso was seen departing Kano State for a trip outside the state, sparking speculations in some quarters that the journey might be for medical reasons.
But the spokesperson of Kwankwasiyya Movement, Captain Mansur Kurugu, dismissed the claim that the politician travelled for medical treatment.
