Kylian Mbappé’s stunning goals gave France a magical comeback against Argentina in the World Cup final at the Lusail Stadium in Doha on Sunday.

A 23rd-minute penalty from Argentina captain Lionel Messi and a 36th-minute strike from Angel Di Maria left the South Americans in a commanding position at the break.

However, Mbappé’s double goals within two minutes gave the defending champions a hope of lifting the cup once more. Mbappé scored at the 80th and 81st minutes to secure France in the game.

Out of nowhere, Mbappé struck two times in as many minutes to change the whole complexion of the match. He suddenly become the man of the moment as the match ended 2-2 at full time and entered extra time.

Argentina are bidding to win the World Cup for the first time since a Diego Maradona-inspired victory at the 1986 World Cup in Mexico.
