The aircraft that was meant to convey the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Adamawa state on Monday has developed a fault.

Tinubu was scheduled to arrive at the Yola International Airport by 10 am on Monday to flag off his presidential campaign in the state.

However, he could not arrive as scheduled due to a fault detected by the aircraft’s engineers.

President Muhammadu Buhari broke the news at the palace of the Lamido Adamawa, Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha on Monday in Yola, the state capital.

“I am here to identify with the delegates in all the states, especially the presidential candidate, who unfortunately could not be here now, because his aircraft developed fault on the ground, not in the air. Eventually, he’ll arrive here in an hour’s time or so,” President Buhari disclosed.

Based on the development, President Buhari offered to lead the campaign in the home state of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar.
