SCHOOL OF FOUNDATION STUDIES, UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS: RECRUITMENT OF TEACHERS, GRADUATE ASSISTANTS AND TECHNICAL STAFF FOR 2023/2024 ACADEMIC SESSION

The School of Foundation Studies, University of Lagos hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant positions in the 2023/2024 Academic Session:

  6. Christian Religious Studies (Old Testament, New Testament, Church History, Religion & Society)
  7. Economics (Principles of Economics and Applied Economics)
  8. French (French Culture & Civilization, Oral & Basic French)
  9. Geography (Physical Geography, Regional Geography, Human Geography, Map Reading/GIS)
  10. Government (Element of Government and Politics, Nigerian Government and Politics, African Government and Politics, Ideologies & Process of Government and Politics)
  11. History (African History, World History)
  12. Igbo (Igbo Phonology, Oral Igbo Literature, Igbo Grammar and Written Igbo Literature)
  13. Islamic Religious Studies (Islamic History, Hadith Studies, Quranic Studies, Tawhid & Fiqh)
  14. Literature-in-English (Drama, Poetry, Prose, Literary Appreciation & Practical Criticism)
  15. Mathematics (Applied Mathematics, Business Maths, Statistics, Calculus, Advanced Algebra)
  16. Music (Basic Theory of Music, A Survey of African Music, Basic Musicianship and Music Appreciation).
  17. Physics (Modern Physics, Electricity & Magnetism, Heat/Waves/Optics, Mechanics/Properties of Matter)
  18. Visual Arts (Art History, Two Dimensional Design, Three Dimensional Design and Decorative Arts & other Craft Traditions)
  19. Yoruba (Yoruba Phonology, Oral Yoruba Literature, Yoruba Grammar and Written Yoruba Literature)
  • Graduate Assistants for the subjects listed below:

Please note that:

  1. The position of Teacher is open to interested academic staff, and registered Ph.D. students of the University of Lagos as well as other interested persons outside of the University community with a minimum of M.Sc. degree in chosen subject area.
  2. The position of Graduate Assistant is open to registered Ph.D. students of the University of Lagos as well as other interested persons outside of the University community with a minimum of M.Sc. degree in the chosen subject area.
  3. The position of Technical Staff is open to staff of the University of Lagos as well as other interested persons outside of the University community with a minimum of HND in the chosen subject area.
