Breaking: FBI Releases First Tranche Of Tinubu Drug-related Files

As scheduled, the FBI has initiated the release of documents linked to the Chicago Heroin trafficking ring allegedly involving Bola Tinubu.

According to journalist David Hundeyin who announced the release of the first tranche via his verified handle on X, the files include Lee Andrew Edwards, Mueez Akande, Abiodun Agbele, and Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In response to a FOIA request, the FBI has earlier identified about 2,500 pertinent pages. These will be disclosed monthly, starting at the end of October 2023.

This follows initial FBI reluctance, as Aaron Greenspan of PlainSite, along with Nigerian journalist David Hundeyin, led the FOIA request. The disclosure aims to address questions about Tinubu’s U.S. entry, aliases, and activities.

Tinubu’s presence in the U.S. dates to the 1970s, and the records may detail his forfeiture of $460,000 in drug-related incidents in 1990s Chicago. These documents may unravel Tinubu’s early life, including parentage and education details.

Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.

  1. Much as we are glad to see these disclosures I’m afraid they won’t be of any use as the courts had refused to use them in the appeals. Moreover these documents are coming much later in the day. If the FBI or the US authorities had our interest at heart these documents would have been made available before the primaries as BAT would’ve been stopped by then. Makes me feel that the US didn’t want us to have a credible president and they are more likely to use these information to blackmail our country. It’s also good that those Tinubu’s supporters are getting to know the person they’re killing themselves for.
And further shows that most of his top appointees are his comrades in crime. Just too bad for a country that is in dire need of good and credible leadership to rescue her from the ruins that the APC had plunged us into.
    Very sad.

    • I don’t think the release of any documents prior to the election would have made any difference. We are a totally flawed nation, hamstrung by ethnic and religious divisions. Some sectors in our society would vote for a dog rather than a competent person of another ethnic region or religion. We are still barbarians!!!
