The President, therefore, directed security and intelligence agencies to immediately rescue the victims and ensure that justice is served against the perpetrators of these abominable acts, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, said in a statement on Friday.
It quoted the President as saying, “I have received a briefing from security chiefs on the two incidents, and I am confident that the victims will be rescued.
“Nothing else is acceptable to me and the waiting family members of these abducted citizens. Justice will be decisively administered.”
The President sympathised with the families of the victims, assuring them that they will soon be reunited with their loved ones.
On Thursday, 287 students and pupils of the LEA Primary and Secondary Schools, Kuriga, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, as well as some of their teachers and staff were kidnapped by gunmen.
Aso, no fewer than 100 internally displaced persons were kidnapped by terrorists in Borno earlier in the week.
