An eight-year-old boy, Tinotenda Pudu, has been found alive after spending five harrowing days in the remote Matusadonha Game Park in Zimbabwe.

An X user Mutsa Murombedzi (@mutsamu) posted that Tinotenda wandered off and unknowingly ventured into the vast game park, located near Hogwe River, which feeds into Ume River.

His journey took him 23km from home, where he was surrounded by roaring lions, passing elephants, and the unforgiving wilderness.
The boy survived by sleeping on a rocky perch, eating wild fruits, and relying on his wits to survive.
“The ordeal Tinotenda faced was unimaginable for an eight-year-old,” said one of the Matusadona Africa Parks rangers, who found him.
“He was very lucky to have survived, and we are grateful he is safe.”
The search for Tinotenda began after he went missing from his community. The Nyaminyami residents, who faced the challenge of locating him in the dense jungle, rallied together, beating drums each night in hopes of guiding the boy back to safety.
“We are overwhelmed with gratitude to the brave park rangers and the tireless efforts of our community,” a local spokesperson said.
Despite the dangers posed by the wilderness, the boy’s survival was attributed to a combination of hope, prayer, and unwavering determination.
“Above all, we thank God for watching over Tinotenda and leading him back home safely,” the spokesperson added.
The event has served as a powerful reminder of the importance of unity and perseverance in the face of adversity.
