Mrs. Folashade Odumosu, the wife of retired Assistant Inspector General of Police Hakeem Odumosu, who was abducted, has been freed.

The development comes days after SaharaReporters reported that heavily armed men abducted Mrs Odumosu from her residence in the Arepo area of Ogun State.
The kidnappers, who shot sporadically during the abduction, dragged her from her Lexus SUV and took her through swampy areas to an undisclosed location.
In response, Ogun State Police Commissioner Lanre Ogunlowo deployed operatives with support from local security forces, including Baale Warewa and Baale Maaba.
Force Public Relations Officer Olumuyiwa Adejobi, in a statement on Thursday, confirmed the success of the operation, saying, “The police operatives neutralised the kidnappers and recovered the ransom paid.
“We are committed to safeguarding Nigerian citizens and our dear country.”
Adejobi further quoted the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), saying, “The IGP has commended the police operatives and CP Ogun State, Lanre Ogunlowo, for a good job.”
