Abductors Of Former NYSC Director-General, Maharazu Tsiga Demand N250million Ransom

General Tsiga was abducted on Wednesday night when scores of armed men stormed his residence in Katsina State.

The kidnappers of retired Brigadier-General Maharazu Tsiga, a former Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), have demanded a ransom of N250million for his release.

The assailants reportedly surrounded the house and began breaking doors, prompting the retired general to step outside and confront them.

A federal lawmaker representing Bakori/Danja Federal Constituency, Abdullahi Balarabe Dabai, confirmed the abduction, stating that the attackers took control of the premises before taking General Tsiga away.

Security operatives have launched a manhunt to track down the kidnappers and secure his release.

However, there has been no official statement from security agencies regarding their progress.

According to Daily Trust, a source close to the family, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said on Friday that the kidnappers had contacted the family and demanded N250million as ransom.
