Gbajabiamila who made the appeal at a dialogue session in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, described Tinubu as a national leader who has carried every region along.
Ahead of 2027 general elections, Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, has called on former northern legislators to support his principal’s re-election bid.
Gbajabiamila who made the appeal at a dialogue session in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, described Tinubu as a national leader who has carried every region along.
“President Tinubu is not just a southern leader; he is a national leader who has carried every region along,” Gbajabiamila said.
He highlighted ongoing infrastructure projects in the north, including road networks, rail expansions, and agricultural revitalisation efforts, as evidence of the administration’s commitment to equitable development.
Gbajabiamila emphasised that Nigeria’s progress depends on unity, continuity, and respect for political agreements.
“We are laying solid foundations today, and it is only right that the president is allowed to finish what he started,” he said.
The Chief of Staff pointed out that the north is benefitting from the government’s initiatives.
“From critical infrastructure to policy reforms, the north is benefitting from a government that believes in equity and shared prosperity,” he said.
Gbajabiamila’s appeal underscores the administration’s efforts to build support for Tinubu’s re-election bid across the country.
