Glo Confirms Widespread Network Outage Across Abuja, Northern States As Subscribers Lament

Residents and users of Glo services in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, and several northern states were on Friday left without mobile connectivity following a major network outage that disrupted both calls and data access for hours.

The disruption affected thousands of subscribers, many of whom reported difficulties in making calls and accessing the internet throughout the day.

Globacom Limited confirmed the outage in a statement, explaining that it began at 11:49 a.m. on 14 November 2025 due to multiple fibre cuts and high-loss incidents affecting key transmission routes.

The company noted that the disruption was still ongoing at the time of its announcement and that technical teams had been deployed to restore services.

Glo assured customers that work was underway to resolve the issue, saying “Our technical team is working to ensure services are being restored as quickly as possible.”

This indicates that engineers were actively engaged in repairing the damaged infrastructure.

The company also expressed appreciation for affected subscribers, adding “Thank you for your patience and for choosing Glo. We truly appreciate you.”

This served as a formal acknowledgement of the inconvenience experienced by users.

Reiterating the importance of connectivity,

Glo emphasised “We understand how important uninterrupted connectivity is to you.” The statement shows the company’s awareness of how critical mobile services are to daily activities.

The firm further assured that engineers were working diligently to restore service across the region, stating “Our engineers are actively working to restore services in Abuja and across the North as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience and continued trust in Glo.”

This underscores ongoing efforts to repair the network and reassure customers of a timely resolution.

Subscribers were urged to remain patient as technical teams continued repair work on the affected infrastructure.
