
Disgraced police chief Abba Kyari on Monday asked the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court to grant him bail on health grounds.
Mr Kyari dragged the Nigerian government to court today, a week after he was held by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, over his alleged involvement in trafficking about 25 kilogrammes of cocaine.

In his suit, FHC/ABJ/CS/182/22, Mr Kyari asked the court to order the NDLEA to grant him bail for him to proceed on medical treatment while his fundamental rights enforcement application was being heard.
The court, however, declined to hear the application.
