The police officer (name undisclosed) seen in a viral video carrying a food tray of a VIP at an event in Kwara State has been summoned by the Nigeria Police Force to its headquarters in Abuja.Amid the development, the police authorities went ahead warning its operatives attached to Very Important Persons (VIPs) all over the country to stop serving purposes other than protecting prominent individuals from security threats.

Noting that it is probing the widely shared video, the Acting Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, in a chat with The PUNCH on Wednesday, added: “He (the policeman) has been identified. He is coming to Abuja to meet us. We’ll ask question from him and take necessary action. We need to discourage such a thing because it is embarrassing the image of the Force and we can’t continue to be experiencing that kind of a thing because it is highly unprofessional.”
Meanwhile, the controversial video showing the embattled policeman meticulously carrying a tray crowded with food behind his “big madam” at a society function has continued to garner reactions on social media.
